토쿠P가 선보인 성좌 시리즈의 첫 작품. 후속곡인 ARiA (아리아):하츠네미쿠도 높은 평가를 받은 곡이지만 전체적으로는 이 스피카 쪽이 훨씬 높은 평가를 받고 있다. 2007년 7월 27일 니코니코동화에서 처음 선보였으며, 등록 5일만인 8월 1일 니코니코동화 전당에 등록되는 기염을 토한 멋진 곡이다. 일러스트는 토쿠P와 함께 활동하고 있는 refeia가 담당했으며, 이 때는 전문적으로 제작한 영상은 아니고 일러스트를 받아서 에디팅을 거쳐 맥킨토쉬의 iMovie로 간단히 편집한 영상이었다. (후속곡은 퀄리티가 완전다르다)
원래 동인앨범인 Headphone-Tokyo 1st EP「SPiCa」으로 선보였으나, 현재는 절판되어 앨범 자체는 구매할 수 없고 아이튠즈나 아마존 MP3다운로드 서비스로 구매가 가능하다. 후에 EXIT TUNES PRESENTS 첫 앨범에 수록되어 공식발매되었으므로 이쪽을 구매하는 쪽이 구하기는 쉽다.
창문@실사리로(まど＠実写リロ)가 영역하여 ‘불러보았다’버전을 만든 것을 후에 메구리네 루카 발매 후 이 곡을 영어로 커버한 버전이 제작되었으며, 이 경우에는 Cella가 일러스트를 담당했으며, 토쿠P의 곡에 기반하지만 기본적으로 토쿠P가 참여한 곡은 아니다.
후에 프로젝트 디바1의 DLC로 판매되었으며, 미쿠 라이브 공연인 39감사제 버전이 Extend 버전에 수록되어 판매되었다.
스피카(Spica) : 처녀자리의 별들 중 가장 밝은 청색 별로 우리나라에서는 봄의 저녁에 보인다.
주극성(周極星) : 극 둘레를 도는 별로, 지구의 어디에서 보아도 지평선 아래로 떨어지지 않는 별을 지칭한다.
데네볼라(Denebola) : 사자자리의 두번째 밝은 별. 변광성으로 미약하게 밝기가 변화하는 것이 특징.
